PCN ECP - Changi Beach
State: Smiles!Had a great cycling today! Anyways. Already got it all down in my new blog. Its ready for all my readers to access there. :)
So did my readers managed to reach my new blog address?? :)
It is seriously. Very. Very. Simple. No need to rack your brains ok.
Anyways. Went home for lunch cos I normally won't feel like eating after I worked out. Haha.. Home food is really the BEST. :) Ended up just nice, Empress Dowager came home same time as me. :) One of the things I like to do is to listen to Empress Dowager. She has seriously lots of experience in life and I always don't have time to chat with her. Its certainly nice to eat white porridge with her. I do enjoy simple food. Its not always within my reach.
These days of CNY.. one of the things that I wanna find out, is the age of Empress Dowager. I kinda feel that its important to know the age of my own loved ones.. and I always forget about her. Yes, she told me that night. She is currently 77 years old.

Now back to FYP.

Chinese Chinese
Being a Chinese..I'm proud of it. Seriously I do.
Being home alone today was nice.
Reflected on things and commitments.
Although the moments were short, I know that its sufficient.
Howdy Readers?
Walkergal has decided to put a close to blogging at blogspot for now. For 2 years, blogspot has been serving me well. No particular reasons for closing it for now. Just wanna try something new. :)
Now just a little game for my readers. Guess my new blog address. :)
No prizes for guessing correctly. Haha.

State: freshieYesterday's Games night with the youths at church was really fun! It has been a while since I last touch those orientation games. :) Kudos to Charissa and Emelynn for planning the games! And oh, not to forget our dearest president - Sophia for generously sharing the super delicious Goodwood Park Hotel durian puffs with the youths!! oh my. It was my first time eating the durian puffs from Goodwood Park Hotel. Its super huge man! Never eaten it before cos its always so expensive... The empress will say Waste of Money! =.= which is true of course...

At the Palace.
hmm. looking this little gal doing her tutorial so attentively on her laptop... the kaypoh walkergal went beside her to check out what's soooo fascinating about what's she's doing and saw this word: Calorimeter.
logically, in my first impression, this word just means to me as something that measures Calories. hurhur... and so the always-want-to-learn-new-things walkergal went to wiki this word and found out that its a device thats used for calorimetry, the science of measuring the heat of chemical reactions or physical changes as well as heat capacity.
interesting. the word calorimeter is derived from the Latin word calor, meaning heat. ahhh.. nice knowledge to know right. i'm so proud of this little gal. only when she behaves herself and don't do things that piss me off. hah.
oh. Empress has found my Columbia shoes... it was in the store room all these while. Sigh. I can't imagine when everyone is looking for it when its like just right in front of us in the store room. =.= nonetheless, walkergal is glad that the shoes is back to her. seriously.

after meeting fyp woo yesterday, it seemed like in this dark fyp tunnel, there is a gleam of light now. it was a solid 2 hours+ discussion. towards the end, fyp woo commented that he is currently having 6 fyp students and i am considered the best one. wow. that comment sure made me felt good.. after all the hard work of researching during my december holidays. but certainly, this means more to implement to round up the good work done from the beginning. and this implementation in programming will certainly be walkergal's challenge.
*****
ok. tonight will be an early CNY reunion dinner with my beloved cousins at suntec KSB!! hur.. great. i shall eat to my heart's content. HAHAHA. but before that i got to open my vocals abit for the backup practice at 1700. nonetheless, yay!

State: brain freezed.meeting fyp woo in an hour's time..
in a dreadful state.
woke up extra early today to battle the headaches and it was headache all the way.
its like nothing moved. not even an inch.
how can i meet fyp woo with nothing done up?
source files cannot be compiled..
tried umpteen ways to do it but still in vain.
uninstalled and re-installed everything..
admin console can't understand anything..
googled, read tons of tutorials and can't understand a single thing.
is there any thing i can do to clear this mess?
i can't even reach into the programming part without setting up the environment properly.
march is drawing nearer................
God.. Help me.

State: stonedwhat right does a father has?
what right does a mother has?
what right does a eldest daughter has?
what right does a youngest daughter has?
what right does walkergal has?
what right do you have?
I always thought that since I was borned as a middle child, I should like to.. behave like one? You know.. being bullied and taken care of by an elder sister.. and being naughty and do the same to the youngest one? Logically thinking that that would be happening to every household? Afterall, during girl guides in secondary school, that was the case of senior batches doing sadistic stuff to the junior batches and that took place years after years as though like tradition.
Nope. The sun still rises from the east and sets in the west.
Hence, walkergal was the way she was now. Which wasn't really a bad thing afterall.
But what's lost doesn't seemed replaceable. Yes.
Though being sensible will keep a person moving on in life, but does it helps actually?
Its all up to individual at the end of the day.
How one takes it and move it eventually.
Yes. Choices that all humans has to make.. although it wasn't meant to be that way.
Who to be blamed?
No one.
Because certain things have to happen so to change people's life?
Nope. Because of consequences from the choices made. People got to accept things and learn.
I just need to remember that God has never forsaken me despite whatever things I wished I was given but its never the case..

Here's a song, dedicated to all my readers. Some of the lyrics meant a lot to me. Hence I'm sharing!
remember the days, we sat out together with faith?
remember the times, so fine, when we thought that
nothing could stand in our way?
then things weren't the same
the life that we knew had to change
we've struggled through, the darkest storms
we thought we couldn't tame
together we've tried,
as we stood side by side
I knew we'd build a new world
a world of hope for ever after
* Chorus
deep in my heart I just know
right from the start, we will grow
look where we are, we've come so far
and there's still a long, long way to go
with all of my heart, I will care
I'll play my part, I will share
with family and friends, together we'll stand
and in the end, hand in hand
we will get there
so now we begin, working together to win
believing in trust, it mustbe possible to overcome anything.
there's so much to do
there's so much we can contribute
by sharing just a little love
we will start again anew
so why don't we try? if we stand side by side
I know we'll build a new world
a world of hope for ever after

Sad Tard.
State: calmswam 40 laps this morning. when I stepped out of my shell, the sky was like going to rain any moment. walkergal was praying hard that God would hold the rain... please... and BINGO. It was sunny throughout! :)
swimming is certainly less stressful than running.
no bad impacts to my knees..
no breathing in harmful exhaust fumes from inconsiderate drivers..
no stepping on innocent snails on pavements..
no blockage by i-want-go-home people at the bus stops..
no worries of tripping and falling...
yes indeed. it is what it is. just need some motivation to do it alone thats all. :)
brother said swimming is bad for hair. hmm. yes. walkergal does agree with him completely. just that her hair had reached a state whereby the chemical reaction of the chlorine can't really do much further damage. hur...

A lecturer teaching medicine was giving a classoom observation. He took out a jar of yellow liquid. "This," he explained, "is urine. To be a doctor, you have to be observant of color, smell, sight, and taste."
After saying so, he dipped his finger into the jar and put it into his mouth. His class watched in amazement, most in disgust. But being the good students that they were, the jar was passed, and one by one, they dipped their finger into the jar and put it into their mouths.
After the last student was done, the lecturer shook his head. "If any of you had been observant, you would have noticed that I put my second finger into the jar and my third finger into my mouth."

I received an email today about the following and I think its good for my readers.
CHRISTIAN WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS ...
An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a CD while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus.'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego. Yeah. Press it down.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. 'If God is for us, who can be against us?' (Romans 8:31)

Came across this Armed Force recruitment advertisement today and it reads:
LEADERSHIP.
OUR EDGE.
JOIN THE DECISIVE FORCE.
Indeed you got to join it to know if the force is decisive or not... Seriously. If you are physically abled with no big medical issues, its good to consider if you are attracted to this advertisement. Hahah.. Walkergal is not doing recruitment here.. just sharing some thoughts.

Had dinner at Cafe @ The Quad today.. Firstly, I seldom go there to eat and hence, I got no idea whats really nice and whats not. Haha... everytime I go there, I'll eat Western Food - Baked Fish Meal. Its only lately then I found out that the fish slice beehoon there during lunch time hours was superb! They really used good fishes and really for the price of $3, you get a lot of fish slices!! To top it off, the soup wasn't oily nor chalky nor salty! It was just nice for me.
Met Charmaine from my GIP BJ at there! After chatting, walkergal found out that the claypot chicken and claypot seafood was highly recommended. Hence while queuing up, I finally made my choice. Seafood claypot!! Hence, I ordered and to my surprise, it was really topped with lots of seafood! The seafood claypot soup had lots of fish meat, sotongs, prawns... and it was cooked with preserved veg.. so got my favourite salty and sour taste... plus cabbages and mushroom slices and tofu... ahhhhh...!!
To top it off, the soup wasn't oily nor salty! The entire claypot with a bowl of hard rice really made my day man! Sweet! I don't really think there was any or some MSG.. cos I was talking and talking as usual and wasn't thirsty at all! This kind of soup only when I'm the chef myself then I'll drink up all but seriously, I was so satisfied with the soup that I finished it all and had additional scoops of my favourite hard rice.. couldn't resist it. Seriously. Hur... oh, I haven't mention the price of it? Hur.. its a steal at $4... You won't get to eat so much seafood.. not even on a plate of $4.50 horfun OUTSIDE.

Today I've cleared my individual Assignment 1 of Simulation and Modelling. But I wouldn't know if I'm on the right track.. hope someone has already done it so can double check with one another before submission. Seriously.. It seemed like my favourite module of this semester for now... I like the lecturer cos he can be really, seriously funny. Not those comedian type, but he can deliver things in such a professional and serious note and yet can make us laugh at times when we never predict it! I hope I will have the same amount of passion for my other modules..

Life is worthed living...
Because you are borned already.
Because you have a purpose here on Earth.
Because you only have 1 life.
Because you are more fortunate than millions of people in this world who are still fighting hard to live.
Never give up. Just that its only natural to feel sad or sore about things. Must remember to wake up after that.. no matter how long it takes you.
Wise Up.
State: =.=Haha.. I came across this not-so-clean joke today...
Condom Advertisement ...
TROJAN CONDOM COMPANY INC.
6969 SLIPPERY ROOT DRIVE
DROPTROUSER, NC 22269
Dear Mr. Buffalo;
We regret to inform you that we have rejected your application to model and represent our product, Trojan Condoms.
Although your general physical appearance is not displeasing, our Board of Directors feels that your wearing of our product in the advertisement does not portray a positive, romantic image of our product. A loose, baggy and wrinkled condom is not considered romantic.
We did admire your efforts to firm up by using poly-grip, but even then it slipped off before we could get the photographs taken. We would like to note, however, that yours is the first we´ve seen that looked like a bicycle grip.
We appreciate your interest and thank you for your time. We will retain your application for future consideration, if by chance we decide there is a market for micro-mini condoms.
We send greetings to your wife and/or girlfriend and our deepest sympathy.
YOURS VERY TRULY,
Burly Dick: President
TROJAN CONDOM COMPANY INC.

Hahaha... alrights. enough of this condom joke.
Today Mister ZSP was teaching us more about probability and stats... after that there was still time left. So he continued to another chapter. But the entire lecture group wanted the class to end there and then. So he said: "No, I'm not finished yet. There is still time. Let me touch on a new chapter." Before starting on the new chapter, he commented: "Okay class, we are done with the most difficult part of this entire module." Straightaway, there came loud cheers from everyone. =) Then he continued: "Yes, we are done with the most difficult part of this module but not yet done the most important part yet."
That brought lots of giggles and sniggles from all of us. Hahaha..

Read about the recent sneakers out in the streets. Seriously.. I couldn't resist looking at them. Its SO nice! And oh, I was reading the free Maxim I got, dated November 2007. Hence if those were nice, I can't imagine the ones selling outside now.
The Nooka watches are really cool. It got a backlit LCD display, alarm and stopwatch! Priced at $229. Fine. I got my orange timex now. I should just use it faithfully. Just like how my previous casios had served me well.. Hur... But I must really comment that the Nike Torque Ti WC0068-502, from the Training Collection by Nike Timing looks really solid. Black and Silver. Hahaha.. Perhaps walkergal shall not lust over other watches. I still love my Cyma the best.

I think I've grown much wrinkles and dark eye rings these days. Lotsa things in mind. Lotsa things at loss. Why are things the way it is? Its never a dead end road unless you set it yourself. Just got to remember that no matter what, stay true to your principles. Since young you know it. Now do it. Well. Perhaps maybe its due to me sleeping SO late. There's just this much of sense you get from senseless readings.

Fan-Tas-Tic
State: Simmering, a bit sleepy.Today was the day of disappointments and surprises.
Walkergal was supposed to go to The HQ to lend her skills for damage control today.
Hence she nicely postponed her 5km run for that.
She was very nicely promised by a Mister S i m that he would pick her up to The HQ.
She prepared herself and got to the meeting point and realised 20 mins later that Mister S i m had nicely forgotten about it.
He sounded like he was in a toilet.
He said he was stucked in a middle of something.
All the best to Mister S i m.
May you have fun chatting with your boss over a cuppa over this matter.
I hope to see you around next time.
Seriously.
Ms T e o called me up after that.
She was clearly apologetic over the whole entire matter.
She was part of the meeting last week with Mister S i m and the boss.
But she wasn't the one who called me last week.
It was Mister S i m.
Alrights. Mister S i m, you have been mentioned more than 5 times in my shell wall. Its been nice learning about you and seriously I am kinda disappointed about your very nice freelance style here. Since you have been put in charged of this, shouldn't there be more commitment shown? What has the HQ been working towards? What has happened to The Attitude nowadays?
Peaceout.

Back to shell after that.
Walkergal was surprised by an email.
A guy by the name Peter wishes to buy my Professional Communications Textbook @ $16. Seriously these days.. many had emailed or smsed me to request for a lower price. If I were to lower the price further, it would have kinda devalued the book. It is a very good book. Plus it got my signature on it.. and it is in total new condition.
Sadly, none of the people who had approached me made me wanna sell it to them. Hence, I had decided to keep it for my grandchildren until this Peter came along. :) He did not even ask about the price. He just confirmed with me very decisively that he will buy from me. When I made my way through the North to meet him, suddenly I felt a bit sad. Sad to leave my book. Seriously I had taken care of it so well. I gave it a last hug before I stepped out of the long corridor. I could see the surprised look that Peter had on his face when he saw the book. He was clearly pleased and blurted out "its so new!".
Yes. So the deal of this textbook is now closed. I became a happy seller and he became a happy owner of my book. At least I know that he will take care of my book well. :)

Reading about some Floriography today and here's some Definitions that Walkergal will share with you:
Red Roses: True Love.
Sunflowers: Adoration, Loyalty.
Tulips: The Things We Do For Love.
Gerbera Daisies: You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.
White Lilies: I Feel Like I'm In Heaven When I'm With You.
Carnation: Fascination, Distinction, Love.
Walkergal thinks that:
Seriously roses seemed pretty common everywhere isn't it? Sunflowers are nice but only when given as singles. Gerbera Daisies seemed cheerful but doesn't have the heart melt effect. White Lilies are very elegant.. seemed best in gardens. Carnation came across as very motherly feeling to me. Hurhur... Thats why I still think that Tulips are the best. They always looked neat, in order and special.. just for the Unique Ones. :)

Oh. There is this non-alcoholic beer thats just out in the market! It is known as Warsteiner!! Hahahaha.. now if you drive, you don't have to worry about drinking or getting drunk from beer!
Oh. I just realised OCBC-NTU DEBIT card gives you waiver of cover charge before 10pm at dbl O. You will get 10% off all food and drinks at Banquet Jurong Point. Oh my. This gives walkergal all the reasons to step out of her Shell!
Today roomie came back Shell to visit me!! Hahaha.. Well done babe! Her volleyball team got into the finals and thats this coming Thursday!! In the midst of our conversation, she told me about Paulaner Bräuhaus!! Now I'm so so so keen to go check out this place. Happy hour is 2pm to 8pm daily! Sundays and Mondays is one-for-one on beer, Housepour spirits and wine! Tuesdays to Fridays is 20% discount on Beers, and Housepour spirits! Is their sausages seriously that fantastic? One day walkergal shall go check it out! They have got Sunday Brunch but got to pay about $40+++ to get free flow of beer... seriously.. if its not from 1130 - 1430 only but all day long, I wouldn't mind really to pay that amount.

I'm overwhelmed by how much determination that disabled athletes can have. Try to understand the mentalities of them. You will soon realise how much hard work they had put into training themselves and very clearly they are no pushovers. I am very proud of them and seriously, they might be handicapped in body, but definitely not in spirit.

If pro is the opposite of con,
is progress the opposite of congress?
is prostitute the opposite of constitute?
is product the opposite of conduct?
No. Therefore, different things have to be treated differently. There is no one way rule in this world. Don't expect or impose. Sometimes having a few out-of-the-world impacts can be good at times. Cherish your experiences.
